Housing Law

The Housing Department has been established for 24 years.  Over that period we have developed the department into a highly recommended cornerstone of Housing Law in Norfolk and Suffolk.

We receive referrals from a number of housing and homelessness prevention charities for representation for many at risk tenants having issues with their Landlord  but we also have a long standing history and professional relationship with many large landlords in Norfolk. Our expertise and ability to act on behalf of Claimants and Defendants alike means that whatever side you find yourself on, we can help.

We have the much sought after HPCDS contract awarded through the Legal Aid Agency. This means we are trusted to provide free legal advice and representation, three days a week at County Courts in Norfolk and Suffolk, to clients who are at imminent risk of losing their properties. This is a high pressured and highly specialised environment, with a lot riding on the outcome of the hearings, so to have a legal representative with a calm, knowledgeable and reassuring presence in court, is of huge benefit to all the Defendants on the day.

We advise in aspects of Housing Law and provide full Court representation if required, in the following areas:

  • Repossession and Eviction including unlawful eviction
  • Disrepair
  • Homelessness
  • Anti Social behaviour
  • Rent Arrears
  • Mortgage Arrears
